A Release Ritual (for) New Beginnings

For a long time, I allowed my own insecurities and fear hold me back from chasing my dreams and to be completely honest - I still do and this is why having rituals to empower me is so important upon my journey back to myself and also as part of my business journey (in which I believe go hand in hand).

The full moon fascinates me. The beauty of the full moon and the energy in which it holds is magical. The full moon is all about letting go of the things in which are no longer serving you (aka what is holding you back). The most perfect time for fresh starts and reflection.

This ritual in which we are going to do allows us to create the space in order to chase our dreams and achieve our goals. We are removing those obstacles in which are no longer aligned to the next chapter of our journey.

I believe that it is a magical and empowering experience doing this ritual during a full moon, however you do not have to commit to doing it during the full moon as all inner work is important to do, no matter when you do it as long as you commit to the work.

THE RELEASE RITUAL

You will need the following items: A candle, small pieces of paper (we like to use scrap to cut down on waste), a pen, ignition (to light your candle) and water.

Set your intention for your ritual and take a few moments to visualise yourself in the next chapter of your journey. What do you see? What can you hear? How does it make you feel? Who is with you? Take this time to really connect with yourself.

Now… it is time to let go of everything in which is holding you back from your vision. Reflect on situations in which have been holding you back, or people, or your own insecurities and one by one, write down each one on a separate piece of paper and once you have written it on your pieces of paper, take them one by one to the candle flame to burn whilst saying this affirmation “This no longer serves me, I am letting it go”. You can say this out loud, or in your head - whatever feels right for you along with what is written on your paper and place the paper into the water (as we do not want to burn ourselves). Take some time to visualise what you have written down floating away and no longer serving you. You have release it.
