Nomading In Chiang Mai

Chiang Mai is such a creative, beautiful and diverse city. From the history and culture in the old town, to the vast arrays of coffee shops in Nimmanan there is something for everyone as just a stone’s throw away from the city, you can find yourself lost in the jungle, trekking mountains and getting refreshed by waterfalls. It is defiantly a place in which is a hot spot for digital nomads and you can understand why it is becoming a favourite with many nomads flocking to Chiang Mai to work. For someone who did the whole Eat Pray Love thing a couple of years ago and found myself in Bali, wanting to be a digital nomad so much and now this dream became a reality. Join me as I let you into my top three coffee shops in Chiang Mai, with that SK aesthetic.

  1. Glin Café ~ I would say that this is my favourite as it is tranquil and set within a spa, so your lunch break could be spent getting a facial, or a massage. The whole interior and exterior is very pretty and it feels like you could be in the med. Must try: The garlic bun. It is like a sweet garlic bread - 10/10.

  2. Tomato CMX ~ This is definitely my second favourite, it would be my first however you need to either drive there yourself, or grab a bolt in which is not much however very worth it. The arched window is BEAUTIFUL and it has a very much chilled vibe about the place. Must try: Matcha Latte & Almond Croissant.

  3. BOB Coffee ~ This place is very cool (literally as the air con was freezing ha) but in terms of the space it is incredible and many other remote workers can be found here however it is a bit of an Instagram hot spot and you many find a lot of people just turning up for a few for the gram however it is definitely a good place if you get there early. Must try: Iced Cocoa.
